Who is Daymian Mejia?
Daymian Mejia is a creative performance coach who brings Eastern philosophy, meditation, yoga, and Buddhist practice into the creative process, training ambitious creatives to regulate their inner system and create at their peak without burning out. He is the founder of Project AYD, and a filmmaker, colorist, and meditation teacher based in Boston, Massachusetts.
What does he teach?
He trains mind and body as one system. The methods are older than any screen — meditation, breath, and the philosophy underneath them, rebuilt for a creative mind instead of against it. His framework runs on four pillars — Mind, Body, Soul, Create — and one public promise: find your rhythm.
What is Project AYD?
Project AYD is what he is building: a personal development company for creative professionals in high-stakes fields who chase ambitious work at full intensity but are burning out and dysregulating themselves to get it. Its flagship is Create Something, a community and training program. The next step in the work is a 1:1 pilot program, where he trains individual creatives' systems directly.
What is his background in film?
Daymian is a colorist and filmmaker working in DaVinci Resolve. He is a social media videographer and editor at Fidelity and does freelance color work through Nocturne Post. His credits and honors include the New York Film Festival (2021), an Adobe Creative Scholar award, and a guest lecture on color workflow at Harvard. His color work includes the documentary Survivor Made, and his visual storytelling has been featured in the Boston Globe's A Beautiful Resistance.
What else is he making?
Outside the company, he is a street photographer. Shadows of the Sun, a 45-page street photography gallery presented by Bodega Plus, is in the works for the end of 2026.
